Follow KARMA USA-55367 in the Race to Mackinac

"KARMA" USA-55367 a Beneteau First 36.7 will be racing in the 102nd Running of Chicago Yacht Club's Race to Mackinac presented by  Veuve Cliquot Champagne.  Race Tracking will be available on on all boats (yay!) and is provided by Ion Earth.   The First 36.7 Section will start at 12:40pm on Saturday July 24th from the starting area just outside of the Chicago Lighthouse Harbor.   The Parade of Boats is available for our 'Land Fans' to watch from the end of Navy Pier.  We hope to pass by in the Parade around 10:30am to 10:45am.

Owners Lou Sandoval, Jack Buoscio and Martin Sandoval welcome back returning crew members Steve Mathias, Cristina Cordero-Chadwick and Seth Morrell who have all been members of Karma's successful MAC campaigns in '04, '05, '06, '08 and '09.

Joining them this year is longtime Crew member Jason Veatch who will be doing his FIRST Mac.    Jason recently purchased his own boat (Veni Vidi Veatchi) -none other than a First 36.7 with his dad Les Veatch.   He is super excited and has been working diligently on boat prep with the team.

Also new to the crew this year is Phillip Toth from Panorama City , CA.  New to the Karma crew, but seasoned in numerous offshore distance races.  Phillip will be helping on board  the 'k-halo' in various roles.

Follow our blog as we will be writing from the boat (as time and conditions permit) with updates.

See You on the Island!

  1. Way to go Karma Warriors. Once again the Karma Warrior did not fail to strike at night! As they always say, "The big possum walks late." Enjoy your evening boys. You deserve it! I love the Karma.
